Ravens and 49ers had every opportunity in the world to come out as winners, but they didn't. But you can't really put all the blames on one play or one guy.
To me, 49ers were just dominating. It's not that Manning didn't have his A game; it's that 49ers didn't allow him to have his A game. But Manning showed his toughness. When I see Manning, I see a true leader. He doesn't get overly excited. He is soft-spoken. He is always calm. He leads his team with his actions, not his words.
In sports, I judge players by how they play when they don't have their A games. Anybody can have a great game when he is hot. Your true greatness is when you manage to get a win when you are having an off-day. Manning played tough. In football, you may manage to win a championship with a mediocre quaterback, but you will never have a dynasty without a great quaterback. And Alex Smith is not there yet and I doubt that he has tools and mentality to ever get there.
I heard people were making death threats to Kyle Williams. What the fuck. It was a football game. That's all there was to it. Get over it. A sport team should occupy about 0% of your life.
I always wonder; people have that much time left to care about sports? I have no spare time. I got kids to raise, a wife to get nagged at, parents to look after, technology to keep up, books to read, etc. I watch a few games while I exercise on a treadmill. But geez. This country is filled with dumb people who care about sports and waste their brain cells on memorizing players and their stats.
Get on with your life, losers.
